A golem is a gentile monster created by rabbis to kill on their behalf. In modern terms, a golem would be a conservative Republican.How perfectly true.
I would've put the word conservative in quotes myself, but upon reflection perhaps Hoffman is more correct. Most American conservatives have indeed become the enemies of a free republic and have now joined the liberals in the destruction of all things European, including themselves. They no longer want to conserve the old Republic, they simply want to conserve the status quo.
